 Jennifer Cook

Owner and Head Trainer

Jennifer has 19 years of teaching experience, and a bachelors degree in music education.  She finds that her fine understanding of music, and her experience teaching children, has afforded her unique insight in riding instruction.  Jennifer trains regularly with USDF Gold Medalist Jennifer Mutchler and attends clinics with other top level equestrians.  In addition to her own competition and teaching schedule, Jennifer also trains and competes horses for clients as well.  She is currently working toward her USDF First Level Trainers Certificate and USDF Bronze Medal, and plans to continue on through all the levels.

Jennifer's teaching philosophy is a classical and straight forward approach.  Focusing on rider seat and balance, proper horsemanship, and the practical application of the training pyramid with regard to all aspects of riding.  Using her teaching background, Jennifer believes that a postitive approach, with clear direction coupled with patience and empathy for horse and rider are the best approach.  Jennifer works with students of all ages and ability levels, whether their interests lie in competition or in just learning to ride for fun; she makes it her mission to give all students a life long knowledge of horses.
